The 2008/09 Season starts practice in December and games in mid January through Feburary of 09.  There is an immediate need for coaches and assistant coaches.

About the Club

The Coquille Basketball Club (CBC) - was organized by caring volunteers over 9-years ago to provide team experience of playing basketball for Coquille boys and girls, 3rd through 6th grade.

As it was then is as it is today, in that, the objective of CBC - is to represent our community ideas of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyality, and courage so that our youth may grow to be good citizens. It is the CBC's objective to provide an opprotunity for improvement in basketball skills and a "team play" mentally to all players.

Learning to play basketball - at the CBC levels can help a player to develop their skills early and possibly progress to the next level of play on one of the Coquills School teams and then there is always the possibility of a greater opprotunity such as collage athletic scholarship which are available to both boys and girls.

As the players learn to play basketball - it is important that we all understand that our goal is to develop individual basketball skills and team player experience and not simply having outstanding teams.

The success of the CBC program - should be judged on the progress of an individual rather than a teams win-loss record. Players should be having fun in practice and in games.

COQUILLE INDEPENDENTLY  RUN SPORTS CONTINUE TO  OFFER  A HEALTH CHOICE FOR OUR YOUTH.  THIS CAN PLAY A LARGE PART IN OUR BATTLE AGAINST YOUTH ALCOHOL, DRUGS, AND TOBACCO ABUSE.  YOUR SUPPORT CAN GO A LONG WAY.
